When did i anoint Regan? He was a huge government guy just like all presidents of the past 20 or so years… he was not really fiscal conservative but he used populist rhetoric that would get him votes after the disaster that was the 70′s and Carter.

The Social Security entrust fund is solvent for another twenty years. Want to fix it permanently? Just remove the stupid $106K payroll tax cap that the plutocrats lobbied for and got, so that millionaires pay the same payroll tax rate as everybody else. If a person working three part time jobs for minimum wage has to pay 6% of it to payroll tax, so should a billion dollar per year hedge fund manager.

When Obama entered office the National Debt was 11 trillion, and it’s now 15 trillion. 4 trillion is only more than 11 trillion when you use the “Base-Republican” numbering system.
On the other hand, when Reagan entered office the National Debt was less than 1 trillion, and when he left it was 2.8 trillion. In that case you could accurately say that Reagan ran nearly TWICE as much debt as all previous presidents combined. So much for fiscal conservatism.

The GOP really ANNOUNCED after Obama took office that they were going to fall back on their “cheapskate” reputation after the American People rejected them on their National Security and “excellent for business” reputation. (Having lied us into a war for fun and profit and tanking the economy from deregulation.) In view of the fact that then, they hold reliable Obama for the economy counting on the amnesia of the American People.

So if she is tired of political theater in regards to tax cuts, I assume she will be mission out all the conservatives that have signed Grover Norquist’s pledge to never raise taxes? Not only is that purely political theater, proven by the fact that most of those same conservatives want to raise taxes on lower and middle income Americans. It is a political scandal that elected officials are pledging loyalty to someone other than their constituents.

Ironically tax cuts for the lower and middle classes have a higher MULTIPLIER (i.e. they provide more economic stimulation) that tax cuts for the wealthy. Of course that’s the kind of thing economists will say … and what do THEY know?
